Why is it important to handle greyhound puppies when there eyes are not even open yet?
There has been a lot of research done on the handling of puppies at a very young age and the results are astounding. Even though a puppies eyes may not be open, they still recognize from your feel and scent that you are not their mother. By handling them, they become comfortable with the feel of your hands and will recognize your feel and not become afraid of you when they begin to grow. It has been proven that by handling a puppy every day for only 30 seconds will dramatically decrease the chances that your puppy will become disobedient or “touchy”.
