Why is it important to create digitally optimized STL files?
Not all STL files are alike. In the world of Additive Manufacturing, a digitally optimized file is one that is ready for 3D printing or digital manufacturing. Depending on the default settings in your CAD application, just saving it as an STL may produce a file that is fine for website viewing or emailing, but is not properly optimized for digital manufacturing.
