Why is it important that only persons from the School of Leaders be on a Cursillo Weekend team?
A Cursillo leader is not only a leader on a weekend but is responsible for Precursillo and Postcursillo leadership involving Ultreyas, group reunions, candidate selection and preparation. Beside that, he or she should be formed in the Christian life and live the Cursillo method. The School provides that formation and is the community of service which the Movement requires in order to function properly. Requiring team members to be members of the School of Leaders ensures that they receive proper formation and that they are leaders in all phases of the Movement and not just the Weekend. (L.M.
