Why is it important for UC Irvine to have a Health Sciences Ombuds Office?
Chancellor Drake established the ombuds office for health sciences in 2006. Adding an ombuds office provides another way for people to surface important concerns. Having a conversation with the Ombuds can help individuals to identify informal and formal ways to resolve those concerns. Thus, it can help the university be true to its core values.
