Why is it important for manufacturers to recycle their wood waste to MMR versus a landfill?
MMR recycles more than 1.5 million cubic yards of wood waste annually. By recycling wood waste to its highest value use, it becomes less wasteful, helping to preserve trees, one of our natural resources. This, in turn, protects wildlife habitat, reduces soil erosion and helps maintain air quality. Furthermore, proper recycling of wood waste results in reductions in the generation of greenhouse gases emitted in our atmosphere.
