Why is it I can now only receive about 20 characters/numbers per message on my SkyWord or SkyWord Plus messaging unit?
It’s likely your company provided an alphanumeric pager but has only purchased “Numeric Service”. This is a service we provide to your company that allows them to send you alphanumeric messages via a special code, but you can only receive numeric messages on the personal level. Until recently, this limitation was not applied to web messaging. If this is not the case with your SkyTel service, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-SKY-USER.
