Why is it desirable to communicate directly with the subconscious mind?
Your subconscious mind has built up, over the years, a vast array of experiences that are stored in the form of memories. These memories and the associated emotions that accompany them dictate how you will behave in various circumstances. This is usually beneficial as you are able to react without thinking to external events based upon these experiences. Its like having your own personal What do I do next? internal guide. Similar events will yield similar emotions and it is these emotions that affect the way you behave. This is fine for those behaviours that are desirable. However, the subconscious mind is very literal and non-judgemental. It does not differentiate between desirable and undesirable behaviour. In addition, many of the learning experiences that it bases current behaviour patterns on have been formed in early childhood. These emotional decisions taken in childhood continue to affect behaviour in adulthood, and many of those we would reconsider with adult experience if we
