Why is it called the Third World Transition Program and the Third World Center?
It is a question that is often asked and filled with history and interesting facts. TWTP is a transition program to help incoming first-year students especially students of color transition into college life. It gives students a space for intense self-exploration and a chance to learn about thriving and succeeding at Brown. Please feel free to explore the various parts of our website (www.brown.edu/twc) to learn more about our mission, history and why we are called the Third World Center.
