Why is it bad to buy a real bunny for easter?

Where I live, they quit selling rabbits 2 weeks before Easter. The reason it’s a bad idea is that you should go into buying the animal with the idea to take good care of it for its entire lifespan. Rabbits can be good pets but you have to know what you’re getting into. They can live for around 12 years with good care. They need their litter boxes emptied routinely, they need let out of their cages for 4-5 hours per day with supervision. We feed our bunny vegetables twice a day. To take good care of them does take time. If you really do want a bunny you could drop by your local pet store. About every other time we are in ours, there are rabbits in the “abandoned pet section.” You could save one from getting destroyed and for free.
