Why is infinity in the real world (not maths constructions) distressing for theorists ?

Does infinity actually exist in the real world at all. It does exist in maths theory. A singularity star is very large in mass and gravity but is unlikely to be infinite. Go back to the flat earth brigade. The earth is flat but when you look up at the stars they are all round. It is a matter of everybody is wrong barring our jock. The surface of the earth is infinite as regards the amount of paths you can take but life is finite and all the possible paths cannot be taken in a lifetime so we are going back to theoretical maths The truth is most things are cyclical in nature. There may lie the secret of ‘practical infinity’.
