Why is IFMP important to NASA?
Under IFMP, NASA’s financial and business system environment will be characterized by Integrated systems and automated processes extending across the Agency; an IT “backbone” that enables legacy integration or addition of new applications; and consistent data available to management decision makers in “real-time”. IFMP will dramatically improve NASA’s business processes. New systems will also greatly increase connectivity between Centers, enhancing their ability to support multiple Programs and share information.
