Why is HorseSense fed at much lower levels than horse feed?
First, our patented flame-roasting process dramatically increases the rate at which basic feed products are digested by the horse as a result of the complete gelatinization of starches, making it available for digestion in the small intestine, resulting in a more complete utilization throughout the digestive tract. Standard horse feeds depend mostly upon digestion in the large intestine, bypassing the more complete digestive process that results when grains are flame-roasted. This flame-roasting process eliminates many pathogens such as Aflatoxin, E. Coli, Salmonella, Botulism, etc., which are organisms that continuously degrade the horses immune system, resulting in decreased digestion and utilization of nutrients. Because HorseSense contains the optimal balance of all nutrients, digestion and utilization of all nutritive factors are increased.
