Why is HERNIS always using Stainless Steel 316L?
A lot of material testing has been done. The result is that this is the only material for our line of products that can withstand the marine environment over time without deterioration. Note that we also use Electropolish finish in order to reduce the black bulb temperature on the camera and hence lengthen the lifetime of the electronics inside the housings.
