Why is Health Science Technology HST III only one to two credits while HST II is two to four credits?
HST III is the most advanced course in the Health Science career concentration coherent sequence. It can be taught by several methodologies: laboratory, clinical rotation, cooperative education, or apprenticeship. This course is designed for maximum flexibility, to accommodate the needs of all student interests and needs. The course is one to two credits per semester, so students can take one semester of HST III and one semester of any number of other courses. The one exception would be cooperative education, where student eligibility requirements require the cooperative program to be the entire school year.
