I spoke to Kurt Groen at the Philadelphia convention. He explained the reason for the gross over-sizing of the .45″ pistol. Apparently, Colt provided him with the overall dimension of the gun when asked for the barrel length. Hence the enormous pistol! He did admit that he would like to correct that.
