Why is Hannaford offering selected antibiotics free of charge?
• Antibiotics are most often prescribed for infections and/or illnesses people can’t plan (or budget) for. One of the most common causes of people not following their Dr.’s prescription orders is that they can’t afford the prescription. Hannaford does not want price to be an obstacle to our customers working with their prescriber to know when and how to appropriately use an antibiotic.
