Why is Habitat for Humanity promoting feminist issues?
Our only agenda is working toward the elimination of poverty housing – one home, one family at a time. The focus of Women Build is on empowering women to take action to move children out of poverty. Women Build brings together women from all walks of life to address in a concrete way the children’s housing crisis that is facing more than 12 million children. Women Build subscribes totally to our stated mission: To work through affiliates to nurture, recruit and train women to build simple, decent, healthy and affordable houses.
