WHY IS H-PYLORI MORE COMMON IN PEOPLE WITH TYPE O BLOOD?
According to the New York Times it is because the antigens on RBC’s and the stomach cells of people with type A, B, or type AB have different chemistry than those of people with O blood so as a result people with O blood type have more receptors for the H-pylori bacteria.
