Why is Great Britain being infected by other peoples culture?

Great Britain was formed from other peoples’ cultures:- The Celts arrived some time in prehistory. The Romans marched in about 1950 years ago. The German tribes invaded in the 5th century. England, formerly Angle-land, was named after one of these tribes, the Angles. The Vikings came in next (I forget which century) Some of their language survives in the Scotch and Geordie dialects. The Normans invaded in 1066. Brutal though they were, they gave us a centralised state. Our very language is mainly a mixture of two different languages, Anglo-Saxon brought by one wave of invaders and French brought by another. As a result English has a richer vocabulary than any other language. Our ancestors conquered 1/4 of the plane and so English borrowed words from dozens more languages and grew richer still. We are richer because of all that has gone before. Now more people are arriving and at the same time, all the European peoples are slowly forging a new identity. It is a challenging time – and do

Britain has never been a mono culture. It has always been intercultural because of its warring factions firstly and also because of its trading links throughout the whole of europe and across the Silk route to the east.
