Because it turns up the best results, the quickest, and has the best algorithm for working out relevant search results – which allows it to be the best and the quickest. But Google is only good for one thing – searching. Yahoo is not a search engine, it is an all-in-one service. They don’t put all of their resources into making the search engine better, so naturally, the search engine is not going to be as good as, for example, Google’s – who focus the majority of their resources on their search engine and index of the web. I think the worst search engine of them all would have to be Ask.com. It is badly laid out and search results are sometimes so irrelevant, that by looking through them, you forget what you searched for. Not only that, they don’t have nearly as good an index as the other search engines. If you want an all-in-one service which also includes a good enough search engine, then go for Yahoo.
