Why is Google making the public records in government-agency databases available to its users?
In our partnership with various governments and through the tools we offer public sector organizations, we’re seeking to make it easier for citizens to search for hard-to-find public information provided by government agencies. This information is already available to the public online, it’s just in a database that search engine crawlers (and thus search engine users) can’t access.
