Why is Girl Scout Camp Special?
• A Girls Only environment – When in an all-girl environment girls are more comfortable, ask more questions explore new opportunities and they succeed more. • Girl Decision making – All Girl Scout programs are based on girls making sound decisions about themselves and their activities. • Peer Leadership – Girls have the opportunity to lead their peers in accomplishing projects they have chosen. • Girl Scouting is a values based organization. These values are expressed in the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Camp encourages girls to apply these values and strengthen values learned at home, school and through religious instruction. • Environmental Stewardship – While at Girl Scout camp, girls learn the importance of caring for our natural world.
