Why is Ginnie Mae now making monthly disclosures?
Ginnie Mae has moved from a quarterly schedule to a monthly schedule in response to investor needs. More frequent and timely disclosures help provide investors with the tools necessary to ensure efficient price discovery for Ginnie Mae securities. This in turn helps to provide lower cost financing for FHA and VA borrowers. Ginnie Mae will continue to assess investor requirements and provide additional enhancements to our disclosures as needed.
