Why is George W. Bushs disapproval rating the lowest of any president in modern history ?
Rightly or wrongly (and I happen to believe rightly), many problems of the last 7 years have been blamed on Bush. Let’s start with the lying to invade Iraq thing, followed by the totally botched war of the past 5+ years, with no end in sight. Bin Laden and company are still on the loose, and no real effort seems to have been made to bring them to justice. There’s the loss of American prestige and good will around the world — the US has never been more unpopular. Then there’s Katrina and his inspired lack of leadership; NO is still not fixed. There is his grab for executive power and ignoring laws and the Constitution. There’s an economic policy that favors the rich, at the expense of the middle and lower classes (look at the redistribution of wealth under this Administration). There’s the doubling of the national debt through wild spending financed by massive borrowing. There’s the scandals. And now there’s the recession and high gas prices. . Need I go on?
