gandhi plays an important role in indian history because he did a lot for India in the time when India was invaded by the britishers.He thought that India to be independent but he wanted to do that with politeness rather than being harsh.Instead the britishers insulted him and embarressed him.But he did not care.And therefore he gained a lot of respect in india.
