Why is Fire First Aide called a suppressant, not extinguisher?

The contents of “Fire First Aide” are UL listed. Kidde and First Alert have a packaging UL listing because they want to meet standards for Commercial Fire Extinguishers. Commercial Fire Extinguishers must also be rated for class “A”, “B”. and “C” fires. Since there are no regulations written for residential or personal use, we don’t need a UL listing for our packaging. Magnolia Marketing Group will never use the term fire extinguisher when promoting our product. We consider our product a household appliance.
