Why is FairMail a company and not a charity foundation?
Because at FairMail we believe in “Trade NOT Aid”. Especially for the healthy and talented teenagers we have trained to take the pictures. Just because they had bad luck to be born in economically poor conditions or instable families does not mean they need to depend on aid to improve their chances in life. In fact we believe that making them dependant on aid negatively influences the teenager’s development. By giving them the tools to take their own destiny into their own hands they get much more self esteem as it is only thanks to their own efforts they have managed to improve themselves. By working hard, being creative and making a product that consumers will actually buy you can take care of yourself. That is what we want to teach our teenage photographers. So FairMail as a company should at least give the right example and be self sufficient. FairMail receives no subsidies, grants or funds and sustains its operations entirely with the income from its sales. The second advantage is
