Why is Express the recommended method in XProtect Go’s Add Hardware Devices wizard?
The Express method is quick and easy because it uses device discovery, a feature with which hardware devices make information about themselves available on the network. Based on such information, XProtect Go can quickly recognize cameras on your network. To be able to use the Express method, your XProtect Go server and your cameras must be on the same Layer 2 subnet (no routers in between). If you know routers are connecting your XProtect Go Server and cameras, you should use the Manual or Advanced method for connecting cameras.
