Why is Emdeon Corporation changing its name to HLTH Corporation?
We have renamed the company in connection with the sale of 52% of our Emdeon Business Services segment; we agreed that Emdeon Business Services would own the Emdeon brand and that we would change our corporate name. Our new name, HLTH Corporation, formally took effect on May 21, 2007. In choosing our new name, we looked for something that we could own with respect to copyrights and URLs, and one that our investors would recognize. The change affects only our corporate name and not the names of our business segments or the brands they use for their products or services.
