Environmental Science is both multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary. DISP gives you a broader (multidisciplinary) and more integrated (interdisciplinary) background which is needed to understand and solve environmental problems. Two DISP options are well-suited to Environmental Science students. SCIE 1515.36 gives you the broadest background, with more physical science components than the other options, so is ideal for all realms of Environmental Science. The second option, SCIE 1502.21, is fine for students interested in the various realms of Environmental Science that focus on the biological and/or geological.
