Why is DFO releasing this preliminary info if its too early to make conclusions?
A3 DFO scientists have been transparent in sharing the results of its sampling efforts. Last year, DFO staff met with community groups, had a very open peer review process for the 2003 results, and publicly released these results via a media technical briefing. In addition, we created a web site especially for the purpose of regularly posting and updating the results. We are doing the same this year.
