Why is Desoxyn prescribed?
Desoxyn is used to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This drug is given as part of a total treatment program that includes psychological, educational, and social measures. Symptoms of ADHD include continual problems with moderate to severe distractibility, short attention span, hyperactivity, emotional instability, and impulsiveness. Desoxyn also may be used for a short time as part of an overall diet plan for weight reduction. Desoxyn is given only when other weight loss drugs and weight loss programs have been unsuccessful.
