Why is Daredevil such a bad movie?
Actually, I didn’t think the movie was that bad. I like Jennifer Garner, and find it too bad this movie was slashed as it was. Then again, movie re-makes usually are either VERY good (spiderman), or VERY bad (Hulk). Apparently, most ppl think this one belongs to the second group. What is the problem with comic book remakes? First everyone has his own image of the cartoon character, and it is difficult to translate that to film. If you don’t get it right, ppl will say the character is not the real person they know from the cartoon. This is what spiderman did very well. Second, cartoon characters can do incredible things. The hero-stuff has to be transferred to screen in a believable way. This is where Hulk utterly failed. As on how Daredevil did in these areas? Well, I didn’t know the comic before watching the movie, so probably that helped. As for your comfort: There is rumour of a follow-up on Daredevil around.
