Crib Manufacturer LaJobi Inc., of Cranbury, N.J. is voluntarily recalling approximately 400 wooden cribs (models “Molly” and “Betsy”). According to the CPSC, “The end panels on the ‘Molly’ style cribs are made of solid wood with openings on both sides. The end panels on the ‘Betsy’ style cribs are constructed with wood slats. The model numbers are printed inside the headboard at the bottom.” The company originally recalled the cribs in 2001 but a one-year-old girl’s “head and neck became entrapped in the headboard cut-out of the ‘Betsy’ style crib in 2003.” The CPSC is now aware of this death and reissued the second recall Dec. 2, 2009.
