Why is CompTIA HTI+ retiring?
The CompTIA HTI+ certification is retiring because based on research and analysis in 2006, CompTIA determined that a new updated certification, the CEA-CompTIA DHTI+ (Digital Home Technology Integrator) better meets the needs of the industry today. CompTIA strives to keep our certifications up-to-date to meet the demand for current technologies included in the certification exam objectives. While CompTIA HTI+ is a two-part examination, it was determined during this research and analysis that a single exam was more appropriate for the nature of the new exam CEA-CompTIA DHTI+. This new exam was launched in March, 2007 and is positioned to be the foremost certification for the digital home technology integrator. When is CompTIA HTI+ retiring ?
