Why is CompleteEd discontinuing private student lending?
The changes to our economy continue to have far-reaching effects throughout the financial community, including the student lending industry. Due to these changes, CompleteEd had been faced with: • Increased operational and compliance costs with existing and proposed government regulations • Significantly reduced size and growth estimates of the private student lending market • Increased default rates in the student loan industry Given the changes and uncertainty in the private student lending market, we will not be making new CompleteEd private student loan commitments at this time.
