Why is Comcast offering CableCARDs?

0

Comcast is committed to supporting the new technology of digital-cable-ready TV sets that consumer electronics manufacturers are developing. By offering CableCARD service, we’re able to provide choices: customers who prefer not having a digital set-top box can use a CableCARD, while customers who want to use the full range of Digital Cable features, e.g. ON DEMAND, pay-per-view and the Comcast interactive program guide, will continue to use a set-top box provided by Comcast to receive those features.
