Why is CNM NF-Formula Good for Patrick?
This is a prescription only food available from your veterinarian, that is lower in protein, phosphorus and sodium content. According to the package label, this food “may be beneficial in the dietary management of certain conditions in cats including the following: Kidney Failure, Congestive Heart Failure, and History of Calcium Oxalate Stones.” Per an excellent resource that I referenced in my review of Hill’s Science Diet Senior Beef Formula,an excellent canned cat food I use with Patrick, I was able to not only consider the Guaranteed Analysis listed on the product bag, but a list of foods evaluated by dry-matter analysis. CNM NF is the second lowest prescription dry food concerning phosphorus and sodium, making it very appealing to me in my quest to keep Patrick as well as possible.
