Why is Chinese- made leather furniture so prevalent in the market place?
Price. Chinese factories spend little or nothing on safety or environmental precautions, and pay their workers only fifty to seventy-five cents an hour, plus room and board (workers typically live in the factory). And much of the leather furniture from China is made from lesser- quality leather and construction materials. It’s less expensive yes, but we don’t carry it.
