Why is Chatzy unavailable 5 minutes every day?
In order to avoid the technical problems that high-volume chatting sometimes gives (at least in our system), we restart our servers every day at exactly 8.20 GMT (i.e. at nighttime in the US, in the morning in Europe, and in the afternoon in Asia). This is time, where we have the least amount of traffic and, thus, the time where we annoy the fewest users. It takes about five minutes for the system to come back up. We apologize for the inconvenience this gives – but if we didn’t restart our system, we might occasionally experience downtime of several hours.
