Why is central staff not attending the kickoff?
American Airlines Center does not have the capacity to seat all of the districts employees. Originally, the plan was to have central staff attend a kick-off event at Ellis Davis Jr. Field House at the Jesse Owens Memorial Complex. However, since sponsorships have not provided as much funding as hoped, the event at Ellis Davis for central staff is being cancelled. A video of the AAC event will be available after Aug. 20, and central staff will be provided an appropriate opportunity to kick off the new year.
