Why is Broward County eFiling Different?
Broward County is pioneering a new dimension in eFiling. In other eFiling models, you are simply submitting electronic documents to the Clerk. The Broward eFiling model goes beyond that and incorporates “smart forms” as well. The “smart forms” are unique in that the documents themselves are accompanied by a “data packet” containing some of the key information in the document. When the filing is accepted by the Clerkâs office this “data packet” is then sent to the bench. Within minutes, the judge can review all the pertinent data contained within the form without having to review all the boilerplate.
