Why is Broken Sword for Pocket PC so BIG?
Broken Sword for Pocket PC takes advantages of a few technologies that unfortunately aren’t available for Palm OS, which allow us to completely and faithfully reproduce the original desktop PC experience, and refine it specifically for Windows Mobile Pocket PCs. We’ve taken the original resources for the game, which spanned 2 CDs and some 600Mb of music, speech, cutscenes and other data, and squeezed it as hard as possible to bring the size down to it’s current level – it’s still quite large for a Pocket PC game, but compared to the original it’s much smaller…and all without losing anything! The unusual size of the game means that you will require a storage card with at least 115Mb of free space in order to play the game, but we think you’ll love the experience you get as a result.
