Compared to other “bioplastics” and “biodegradable” material, Matter-Bi (the material biobags are made of) performs extremely well as far as compostablility and biodegradability. Other manufacturers blend additives to polyethylene to produce “degradable” bags. Unfortunately, this process fragments the bags into pieces of plastic debris.
