Why is Billys daughter so worried about her fathers health when he does not care about himself and the family’s rep when he goes on the radio and talks about the Tralfamadorians?
After all, Billy was Barbara’s father, and she loved and cared for him. Barbara insisted she was the head of the family and the head of the family takes care of their loved ones. Barbara may have been very angry with her father because he was mad at himself. People who he knew made fun of him and thought that he was insane by talking about a planet that did not even exist. Barbara thought that her father was senile because of the damage done to his brain when he got into a plane crash. She believed that because Billy didn’t care for himself, somebody needed to care for him so she cared for him. The only reason that Barbara cared that Billy went on the radio was because he was embarrasing her. She was embarrassed of her father and saying all those things about some aliens just made it worse. Instead of being concerned as to why her father is saying all these stories and trying to figure out why, she goes to his house and starts making a big deal that he’s making an embarrassed of himsel
