Why is billing cycle restructuring necessary?
The City’s utility billing cycle restructuring is necessary because of the rapid growth in the number of utility accounts. The restructuring will allow the City to bill customers in smaller, more efficient cycles. Who will be affected by the changes? Only customers with City of Peoria Water Service will be affected. Customers with only sewer and/or refuse service will not be affected. When does the change take effect? In general, the changes will begin with the October 2008 bill.
