It’s not that being white isn’t okay or racist. It’s that a majority of Americans are, in fact, white; thus, the programming on most cable and mainstream television is geared towards either a general audience, or a white audience. Being completely honest, WET is basically every other channel. I still consider b.e.t. to be racist because it shows blacks as a one demensional people who only listen to hip hop music and use slang terms. B.e.t only shows us in our urban stereotype.The images shows on b.e.t especially in music videos reminded me of a minstrel show.
