Why is Beethoven one of the greatest composers?
I believe his is not just one of the greatest composers , he is the greatest, that’s because he revolutioned all music compositions & instrumental techniques in the classical period , and he started by his own the new romantic music , giving the priority to express his deep emotions rather than just being limited with the musical forms , and he opened this approach for all the great composers following him in the romantic period , and his music was the main study for the romantic period composers. Besides , there is the effect of his compositions among all other music of all time that is incomparable , as his Symphonies Nos. 5 & 9 , and many other works.
