Why is Becoming a Web-Based Gun Dealer So Different?
When Bill Clinton took a run at ALL gun dealers, he and the Brady bunch had their greatest success in shutting down home and fledgling web based dealers. Their strategy was to require compliance with a host of State, City, zoning and “covenants” regs that amounted to Federal ATF inspectors acting as State and Local checklist and enforcement agents! Don’t knock it, it worked. Clinton shut down almost 90% of home based FFL’s in two terms, and Hilary and her co-candidates have vowed to do it again. The ones that survived, used the “unlicensed warehouse” rules, and separate LP’s, to survive the storm. Under W, ATF slowed these practices down, especially with their mind blowing new workload after 9/11, and home and web dealers began to flourish again.
