Azusa Street, lead by William Seymore is one of the most significant revivals of the 20th century. It broke discrimination barriers on the level of social, sexual, racial, traditional, and religious politics just to name a few. It launched great revivals domestically and abroad and spun off hundreds of ministries that included women stepping into the pulpit in a leadership role. The fire that ignited in this humble meeting that lasted three years wrapped around the world with the reality of the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Open air brush meetings turned into building programs and church growth. Street ministries and store front churches launched ministries willing to believe that by faith they could believe in healings, and the working of miracles.
